Fishing Kayak

My brother is an avid fisherman, and wanted to motorize his kayak. Along with him and my dad, we worked together to create a budget-friendly system that mounted a trolling motor to the boat. The solution involves minimal modifications to the kayak, and can be made from just items from a hardware store.

The electronics include: full throttle control with DRO, reverse functionality lights, and a fish finder. The battery is easily removable for charging, and the entire system is IP65 water-resistant.

Pull-Up Bar

I designed and built a pull-up bar in the summer of 2023. This was one of the ways I taught myself SolidWorks after using Fusion360 for many years. The project prioritized cost, rigidity, and simplicity.

It uses a few 2x4s and 4x4s for the main structure, and a piece of black-iron piping for the bar.
